As a parent, your role is to SING, DANCE AND HAVE FUN!

 

 

You might be surprised to hear that you are your child's most important music teacher right now-and it doesn't matter if you think of yourself as a great singer and dancer or not! Young children develop dispositions for certain behaviors including singing and dancing by observing and imitating their loved ones. Just by participating enthusiastically in class and doing the music activities at home, you will give your child the modeling they need to become music lovers!

 

 

Your Child's Role

 

At Music Together®, your child is never expected to sit or conform to an adult's idea of participation. Children learn differently from adults. They learn through observations and interactions with adults and older children and through imitation, play and movement. Each child responds in their own individual way, and at Music Together we let them explore in whatever way comes naturally to them.

Show classes for:
MIXED AGE CLASSES
MIXED AGE CLASSES

The mixed-age format is not only educationally sound but creates a family-like atmosphere where siblings can attend class together. Older children learn from being in a leadership role, while younger children benefit from the example of the older child. Children of the same age are not necessarily in the same stage of music development. A mixed-age format enables them to participate freely and experience the music at their own level of complexity, without being burdened by age-specific expectations. Recognizing the growing competence of children three and up, and incorporating their leadership and social skills into our classes, helps keep them focused and interested until they are ready for Rhythm Kids® classes.

 DROP IN CLASS (fall, spring, winter)

These classes are offered to those that are unable to sign up for a full 10 weeks.

Sign up for a class that has an opening. Not all classes have availability.

Cost is $20 per class with a maximum of 3 drop in classes during a 10-week session.

RHYTHM KIDS

Rhythm Kids® is our music, movement, and drumming program that helps children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth to age 8. Rhythm Kids® is suited for children in kindergarten, first, and second grades.
