From Happy Music Together of Portsmouth NH Families

Don’t take our word for it—hear what other happy Music Together® families have to say about MUSIC TOGETHER OF PORTSMOUTH, NH, music classes for kids!

As a new parent, sometimes I just didn’t know what to DO with my baby. Music Together® gave us a language of music to use at home. In the quiet moments, I now had songs and rhymes at my disposal to enjoy with my baby. If we were having a hard time, we could put on the Music Together track and connect through the songs my baby enjoyed. I also met other parents with kids the same age, which made me feel more connected and happy in the young-child years.

Music Together helped my children feel confident as musical beings. When my daughter, a “graduate” of Music Together, went to her very first violin lesson, her teacher asked her if she played any instruments already. She answered, “Yes! I play maracas, I play drums, I play the egg shakers, I play the tambourine....” Her teacher laughed and said, “Are you a Music Together student? I love working with Music Together kids!” Classes with Sharon helped my daughter feel like a musical citizen who belongs in a world of music. It has translated into true joy in her “big kid” musical studies, and the rhythms and playfulness learned in Music Together have grounded her in awareness and delight as she begins instrument-specific learning.

When my husband and I began caring for our infant granddaughters we would sing to and dance with them.  As they grew and could walk and talk and reach the piano keys we wanted more.  A freind suggested Music Together.  After just one session we were hooked.  It wasn't long before our daughters rearranged their work schedules to allow them to come to class as well.  What a wonderful way to explore melodies and rhythms as well as sing, dance and "play" together.  We are now in our sixth year of Music Together and will miss it when our youngest grandchild "graduates" to kindergarten.  What a joy it is to share this experience with our grandchildren and with our daughters!

Music Together has been such a strong and positive experience for Natalia. When we first attended class she was 10 months old and extremely wary of new situations and people. She immediatley loved the songs on the CD that we brought home.
Within a few classes, she she became very comfortable and really began thriving. It has been and continues to be wonderful to watch Natalia grow and develop through this experience. The music and fun transcends class and has found a place in our daily lives; we create songs for putting toys away, brushing teeth, etc. I am thankful for the joy that Music Together has allowed us!

Music Together allowed my son and me to literally discover the music at the same time. We learned the songs at the same time, rather than me leading the way. I think that was important. It was also important to me that the music itself didn't "talk down" to either one of us. I could actually enjoy the songs along with him! It was also great for my son to see other people dancing around. It took him a little while, but now he dances with the best of them. What a life skill!

" While visiting my daughter and her family in Zurich Switzerland, I was able to attend a Music Together class. It is an international program that works all across the world. The music brings all types of cultures together and unites them with songs and instruments. It was a wonderful experience to see it done across the Atlantic Ocean."
